History
The company was founded in 2001 to solve the issues of cork taint and cork oxidation in wine. Based on research and trials in the early 1990's the company produced the first natural cork with a patented crystalline coating that allowed wine to breathe and mature without contamination from the cork. The first production was done in 2002 in the Yarra Valley on the edge of Melbourne, Australia and was then shifted to Barossa Valley, South Australia. In 2006 a second plant was established near Porto Portugal. The state of the art facility is the flagship production site setting new standards for cork handling and technology.
